The Helmsman MOD is built from .210" CPM-MagnaCut, one of the toughest and most highly refined cutlery steels available, milled at one of the last surviving steel mills in the United States. CPM-Magnacut is highly resistant to corrosion or staining, and thanks to our own specialty heat treat, Dawson blades stay sharp up to twice as long as other premium steels. Rockwell C 61-62.

Our American-made G10 stands up to rain, snow, mud and just about anything else you can think of. We design all our handles for secure, comfortable, hot-spot free use in all seasons and textured them for improved grip when the going gets wet.
